Tha Good Good, Week of 5.1.19
Here's a roundup of some podcasts, documentaries, articles, and ideas I've been into this week.
1. An apt speech – Women's Rights to the Suffrage - Susan B. Anthony, 1873
An excerpt: "It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union. And we formed it, not to give the blessings of liberty, but to secure them; not to the half of ourselves and the half of our posterity, but to the whole people — women as well as men."

2. A comedy special I'm loving – Kid Gorgeous - John Mulaney's 2018 standup special at Radio City
“For my money, he’s the funniest person in America,” said Seth Meyers, who hired Mulaney as a writer for SNL back in 2008. He's a powerhouse whose eye for bizarre details makes for observational musings that will leave you in stitches.

3. A quote to consider –
"It almost always happens that when the immediate consequence is favorable, the later consequences are disastrous, and vice versa... Often, the sweeter the first fruit of a habit, the more bitter are its later fruits."
— Frédéric Bastiat
